We’ve missed you terribly, but WE ARE BACK.
To make up for our absence, we have a new single coming.
The single is called More Than Ever and features two new originals and a cover. It comes out on 3/10 but you can pre-order it from iTunes now (you can preview the tracks there). The A-side is a chugging rocker that evokes the grittier NYC of the 1970’s. The B-side is a woozy fever dream replete with a chorus of crickets. The cover is a tune by one of our most beloved bands: Joy Division. The extraordinary cover art is by Jason Knight, who also supplied the Disappear/My My single artwork.
Stoked for the first show of 2015. New singer, new drummer, new Lightouts.
Lightouts | Dorsia | Brandi & The Alexanders

Tix & info:
Finally, we have rescheduled this live session. Lightouts will be playing a live studio session for famed Seattle station KEXP on Friday, June 20th. We’ll be playing a few songs and chatting with legendary DJ John Richards. Tune in online at 9AM PST / 12PM EST!
Today we’re super proud to announce that Esquire Magazine has debuted our new single, “My My.” Check the write up and song here: http://www.esquire.com/blogs/culture/lightouts-my-my
This is what writer Miles Raymer had to say about the track:
Not a lot of rock bands consciously style themselves as singles acts, although the pop world in general is moving back away from albums and adopting the kind of listening habits that ruled in the days before Sgt. Pepper’s made anything less than a 12-song set seem like an incomplete artistic statement. Lightouts of Gowanus, Brooklyn, on the other hand, are enthusiastic singles makers, which suits the snappy, punk-fortified jangle-pop that they specialize in, and it seems to be working, judging by the fan base they’ve accumulated since they released their first single in 2011. (Actor Adrien Grenier is on record as a big-time supporter.)
Their latest, entitled “My, My,” was recorded at Converse’s Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn last year, and it sounds kind of like a Television song transmitted via the Strokes and topped with a vocal that combines Springsteen grit and glam rock falsettos.
Our new double-single, “Disappear” / “My My,” is now available for purchase and has been doing well- it’s now been featured in the iTunes Alternative store for over a month. Support independent music!
